Nothing on the dial that does not need to be there.

Brushed steel, a numberless dial and a bracelet that closes on a hidden clasp. Day, date and week sit where you can find them without hunting. A watch that reads quickly, sits flush under a cuff, and asks nothing of you beyond wearing it.

The Detail

A dial without numbers.
Markers only. You read the position rather than the digit, which is quicker once your eye learns it.

A clasp you do not see.
The push button closure sits inside the bracelet, so the line stays unbroken all the way round.

The calendar, in full.
Date, day and week on the dial, turning over on their own. One less thing to set.

Readable after dark.
Luminous hands, still legible long after the room has gone quiet.

Taking Care Of It

Keep it dry.
Three bar handles rain and handwashing. Not built for showering, swimming or diving, where heat and pressure work against the seals.

The crown stays closed.
Pull it out only when the watch is completely dry, and push it fully home afterwards. It is the one opening in the case.

Setting the calendar.
Avoid changing the date between nine in the evening and three in the morning, while the movement is already turning it over.

The bracelet.
A soft dry cloth is usually enough. For the links, a soft toothbrush and a little warm soapy water, dried thoroughly.

The battery.
A quartz movement runs for years on one cell. When the second hand starts jumping in two second steps, that is the signal to have it changed.
