Taking Care Of It
Keep the leather dry.
Three bar handles rain and handwashing. Not built for showering, swimming or diving. Water is harder on the strap than on the case.
The crown stays closed.
Pull it out only when the watch is completely dry, and push it fully home afterwards.
Setting the calendar.
Avoid changing the date between nine in the evening and three in the morning, while the movement is already turning it over.
The strap will change.
Leather darkens and softens over the first months. That is the material doing what it should.
The battery.
A quartz movement runs for years on one cell. When the second hand starts jumping in two second steps, that is the signal to have it changed.
